PHILOSOPHY
A company is as good as the people in it. Just between us, how many times have you heard that? Too many? You’re right, it’s unbearable. And yet, even if it hurts us to admit it, we’re right in line with this statement. But careful: it isn’t just words, it’s also grounded in fact. Some of our people have vastly different career paths, training, competencies, not to mention personalities, philosophies and modus operandi. They also hold wildly different positions at Duke: creatives, of course meaning graphic artists, ADs, flash artists, developers (at Duke we refer to them as “devs”); technology experts naturally, including both back end and front end (supposedly they’re always at war), project heads, technological project heads (“technology” is what differentiates the last two), department heads (that’s a lot of heads, but after all we are an agency), strategic planners, guidance services, small/big/fat people, men and women (yes, it’s either/or)... They’re all different, but all share something in common: a lot of enthusiasm, a burning desire for and/or curiosity about digital (it goes without saying that prior experience in this area is a plus, but Duke is open to all kinds of profiles, even those who aren’t yet digital experts). Oh, and there’s another common point: they’re all nice (well just about all, or at least in different ways), and also very, very good. If you want to get to know them better, see what they look like (a mixed bag, it’s true), or simply want to join them, this is where it happens.
